|New Earswick Flower Club
is a small and friendly club affiliated to NAFAS. We currently have 25 members. Meetings are usually held on the fourth Tuesday of each month, commencing at 7.30pm.
PLEASE NOTE THAT FROM JANUARY 2017 WE WILL BE CHANGING THE DATE THAT WE MEET TO THE FOURTH TUESDAY OF EVERY MONTH
We meet at the Methodist Church Hall, Hawthorn Terrace, New Earswick, York YO32 4AQ.
There is limited car parking at the Hall and wheelchair access to the building.
Our programme consists of flower demonstrations, workshops, practice evenings, garden visits, flower festivals, participating at the Harrogate Spring and Autumn Flower Shows and social events.
We always welcome guests and new members to New Earswick Flower Club.

All members of New Earswick Flower Club have membership of NAFAS (National Association of Flower Arrangement Societies - Charity registration number 1101348).
We are honoured to be able to announce that a long standing Member of the Club (past Secretary, Chairman and President) Tony Cleaver has been nominated to become a National Associate of Honour of NAFAS.
And also that the current President of the Club Peter Mathers has been elected to serve as a Director of the National Board of NAFAS with effect from the October 2017 AGM.

"Upscale for Autumn"
Plant materials will be used to enhance a container which will allow you to think about form, space and texture in a clearly defined way.
Design: A Floral Frame
3 – 5 floral test tubes, glass or plastic (Lucy can supply these)
1 reel of .56 wreath wire (Lucy can supply this)
Green moss (Lucy can supply this)
A handful of small branches from woodland or your garden: birch, pussy willow, twigs – anything with an interesting shape or texture. Lichen covered is a bonus
(Optional – a few feathers)
A small selection of Autumn themed flowers / trailing ivy / foliage / berries / seeds / rosehips (you only need a few) something like a stem of Chrysanthemum or a few stems of roses will be ample
